SNWMF is a 3-day Summer Solstice and World Peace celebration that promotes conscious music - music with a message of peace, unity and brotherhood that transcends divisions of race and culture.
The 2013 line up includes Damian and Stephen Marley, Soja, Alpha Blondy, and Protojoe.
Music stages and other entertainment
Music aside revellers have the following to look forward to:
- Solstice Yoga - festival goers meet under the canopy of the redwoods at the village stage at 10am to practice together in unity
- Face Painting
- Samba Stilt Circus - Bringing the samba line to the next level are the Samba Stilt Circus who will perform throughout the weekend, carrying their upbeat vibe and highest art form to dance and percussion, all on stilts!
- Loco Bloco & Kids Zone Parade - From the Bay Area, a group that brings the fine art of the Carnival to kids as a tool for empowerment, to overcome injustice, to contribute positively to their community and to embrace ethnic and cultural diversity. They will lead the Carnival drum and dance workshop Saturday and Sunday for what will be a festive parade and they will also give a performance of their own on the Village Stage.
Situated in the heart of the picturesque Anderson Valley, the Mendocino County Fairground is an ideal place for our outdoor music and camping festival.
Camping and accommodation
While not affiliated with SNWMF in any way, whether you are looking for a bit more solace, a little more elbow room, or a shady tree to put your tent under, the Anderson Valley Brewery is an excellent alternative. They are located within walking distance of the fairgrounds and are offering weekend camping for both cars and RVs. Additional information is available on the Anderson Valley Brewing Company web site.
Advance Tickets to SNWMF 2012 are now available online, via mail order and at our Independent Ticket Outlets. The price for a 3-day music ticket is $160.00.
