Pitchfork Festival in Paris is a three day event which, similair to the ethos of it's creators, aims to showcase independent and rising music. Met with great success, Pitchfork Paris will be taking over the entirety of Grande Halle de la Villette, a stunning 19th century glass and metal structure that stands in the centre of the Parc de la Villette - the city's largest public cultural park.

2012 acts announced include Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Robyn, M83, Sebastien Tellier, Simian Mobile Disco (live), The Walkmen, Fuck Buttons, Chromatics, Liars, John Talabot (live), The Tallest Man on Earth, Japandroids and Factory Floor. Click here to view the full line-up.

Pitchfork Halloween Opening Party at Le Trabendo 31st October – 7.30pm till late

CLOSING PARTY

1st November at Le Trabendo (12am – 6am) – R&S presents 2nd November at Le Trabendo (12am – 6am) – Italians Do It Better presents

2012 Highlights

  • The Rough Trade Pop Up Shop, which will see London’s most famous record store move to Paris for the duration of the festival.
  • Super Market, which sees the four girls behind the hugely popular Parisian clothes market, Le Super Market exclusively team up with Pitchfork. Featuring DJs and an array of food, the Super Market is a place where guests can shop and party at the same time, not to mention discover some of the most exciting Parisian designers.

Vibe

For 2012, the festival will be expanding to a 3 day line up and will also be making full use of the Grande hall de la Villette’s multifunctional spaces.
