Vibe

When discussing the creation of Lodestar, organiser Doug stated "My inspiration for LodeStar is the thought of people coming together and sharing a moment in time of great music and good times". In comparison to many family festivals it is seen as very relaxed and chilled, it is universally praised for it's affordable price both in the cost of the ticket and the cost of food and drink on site.

Highlights of the festival include the non music activities which include everything from zorbing to archery, and there is also a large camping area with a catering marquee where acoustic sets are held to create a chilled vibe after the main stages are closed.

Stages and other entertainment

Along with a great music lineup over the 3 days you will discover a brilliant range of entertainment to suit all ages.

Uniquely LodeStar’s festival arenas are designed to lend themselves to making the natural environment part of the ‘art installation’.

2012s activities ranged from Archery to adrenaline fuelled Zorbing to the more sedate Nature Trails. Whilst performance art includes Cabaret to Circus, Arts & Fringe Theatre from Edinburgh, as well as plenty of other things to see and do over the three days of LodeStar.

2013 will see many of these fun activities return and more our website will have more details.
