Forró is a type of traditional Brazilian dance, accompanied by live music. Forró dancers dance in pairs, and there are a variety of different styles originating from different parts of Brazil. The Forró Fest celebrates this traditional dance by bringing some of that warm South American Energy to the street of London.
This gathering is about community, making connections, exploring the new and enjoying the comforts of a festival with hot showers and loads of lovely people and food!
Forró Fest, beyond being an opportunity to practice your dance skills and learn new moves, also offers a series of workshops and special events. There will be Yoga, Afro-dance, and singing classes throughout the day. There will also be capoeira performances, and a football pitch available.
This year's festival will have Diego Oliveira, Dona Fia, Zeu Azevedo and Forróbamba headlining.
Tickets include camping and all the activities and parties, including Forró dance classes at all levels. There's a full programme that includes a cabaret, a campfire, gong meditation and volleyball!
