Sonisphere UK Updates

The festival will be having a UK date this year, from the 4th to 6th of July. Many artists have gone on record to express their enthusiasm about playing at Sonisphere this year.

Iron Maiden said "...…you can be sure we will do our utmost to give our fans one hell of a show and go out with all guns blazing.”

Metallica seem as excited as their fans to be playing with Iron Maiden: "What could be more fitting on our third Knebworth go-around than to play an all-request set, chosen entirely by the fans? Add the cherry on top…co-headlining with Iron Maiden, who are a big reason that Metallica exists in the first place. BRING IT ON!!!”

Vibe

The festival has always been praised for it's tight scheduling, which aims to avoid little if any programme clash.

In the UK the festival is seen as the mainstream metal rival to Download, with many metal fans waiting for both festivals to announce their line-up, before deciding which one to attend.
