The event will be moved to October with organiser Lisa Paulon stating this to Camden New Journal:
"The main reason we have chosen dates in October is because we decided to go back to our original dates from the ‘90’s when the festival first launched in 1995. When we brought the Crawl back in 2005 we moved it to the spring to tie it in to a London live promoters conference, but this didn’t really work. As there were absolutely no other events of this nature at that time and no other music festivals in the spring, we kept it there."
"Now, eight years later, there are more than 20 multi-venue city events in London and across the country based on the Camden Crawl model which take place over the first May bank holiday weekend. Due to this over-saturation, and the fact poor replications of our idea have watered down the original concept, we have decided to make some major changes to shake things up a bit and move away from the pack. For this reason, we are playing our cards quite close to our chest for the moment. The next Crawl event will take place in mid/late October and full details will be revealed in about six weeks' time."

History and facts
Launching the UK festival season each spring since 1995, London’s award winning Camden Crawl added its very first sibling event, CAMDEN CRAWL DUBLIN, to its festival repertoire in 2012. Known as a calendar fixture renowned for showcasing the forthcoming year's most hotly tipped live music artists to sell out audiences, the festival has, over the years, showcased each of the following artists early in their careers: Mogwai, Beth Orton, Snow Patrol, Hot Chip, Maximo Park, The Cribs, Mystery Jets, Plan B, Klaxons, Maccabees, Guillemots, Paolo Nutini, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Biffy Clyro, Foals, Friendly Fires, Kate Nash, Example, Frank Turner, Laura Marling, Professor Green, Florence & The Machine, Mumford & Sons, Kano, Noah & The Whale , The XX, The Temper Trap, The Drums, Eliza Doolittle, Katy B, Maverick Sabre and the list goes on.
There have also been many surprise appearances by huge artists at the event. Classic moments include Madness' busking tour of Camden, Amy Winehouse's playing the Dublin Castle and Squeeze performing a secret greatest hits to fifty lucky people upstairs in the Hawley Arms.
In 2010, Camden Crawl won NME's coveted 'Best Small Festival' award voted by NME readers, as well as Best Metropolitan Festival in 2009, 2010 and 2012 at the UK Festival Awards.
The event prides itself in making live music and the arts affordable and accessible to everyone and, equally, aims to grow community between the artists appearing, fans and the independent promoters behind the scenes. In order to do so, the Crawl maintains a policy to democratically book talent via a diverse committee of UK tastemakers and promote its artists on a level playing field.
And, to further enhance exposure for performers and create unique value for punters, the ticket price includes a free download compilation album, magazine and programme guide featuring the talent appearing at the festival.
