Vans Warped Tour

The Vans Warped Tour is a travelling music and extreme sports festival, which tours across the United States and Canada. Held in parking lots or fields, stages and structures are built, with sponsorship from the shoe manufacturer Vans.

Running since 1995, the tour had an emphasis on punk rock, but has since expanded to include other or similar genres that compliment the vibe of the festival. The event is also known to take place in the UK.

Summerfest

Summerfest is an annual music festival that takes place at the 75-acre Henry Maier Festival Park in Milwaukee, USA. The event markets itself as the "World's Largest Music Festival" a claim that has been certified by the Guinness World Records.

The festival lasts 11 days, with over 700 bands appearing across 11 stages, usually running around late June to early July, often including the much loved 4th of July holiday. The event is known to attract 800,000 to 1,000.00 each year.

Folk by the Oak

Folk by the Oak will be celebrating its fifth festival in 2012, and will once again be filling Hertfordshire’s beautiful Hatfield Park with equally beautiful folk and acoustic music. Sunday 22 July will certainly be a date for the diary, as the organisers announce another fabulous line-up.

Larmer Tree Festival

Larmer Tree is a five-day music and arts festival renowned for it's eclectic line-up and strong family friendly values, it also has an independent and non corporate ethos.

Running since 1990, the multi-award winning event aims to be intimate with a capped capacity of 4,000, and has sold out in advance for the past 17 years.

Confirmed live music acts so far include Paloma Faith, Levellers, Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, whereas comedy highlights to look forward to include Tim Minchin, Greg Davies and Milton Jones.

Kazantip

The spirit of Kazantip is freedom and non stop partying, originally started in the Ukraine, organisers of the original event have taken their organisation of the event to Portugal, while a festival and event of similar nature and name remains in it's place of origin.

AfrikaBurn

AfrikaBurn is a regional Burning Man event, which is heald annually in Tankwa Karoo, South Africa.

Wacken Open Air (also known as W:O:A) is an annual heavy metal festival that takes place in North Germany every summer.
