Reading and Leeds Festival are a pair of music events that take place simultaneously during the August bank holiday weekend. The event itself has gone through various music phases, however recently the line up tends to feature Rock, Alternative, Electro and Indie.Metal and Punk acts are also known to appear along with many other music genres, however the former mentioned are the most predominately featured.

Run by BBC Radio 1, the Big Weekend is one of the biggest free ticketed music events in Europe, held yearly the event takes place in a different UK location each time.

End of the Road is an independently run indie music festival, set in the surrounds of the Larmer Tree Gardens with a clean green focus. This festival features four main stages of great entertainment, another asepct of EOTR's appeal is the alternative entertainment and the amazing effort that goes into putting the site together with quirky and heartfelt decoration.

Bestival is an open air music festival held on the Isle of Wight since 2004, the festival was founded by DJ Rob Da Bank who is still in charge of organising it.
This is an ideal festival for those who like odd, yet innovative boutique festivals, that encourage fancy dress and good natured entertainment for all.
